People participate in Garba and Dandiya Raas dances, dressed in colorful traditional attire. The city comes alive with music, dance, and devotion during this period.

Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, is widely celebrated in Junagadh. The Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, near Junagadh, is a major pilgrimage site during this time, but the city itself celebrates with devotional songs, dances, and reenactments of Krishna's life.

Though not directly in Junagadh, the Tarnetar Fair, held near Junagadh in the town of Tarnetar, is a famous rural festival. The fair is known for its traditional folk music, dance, arts, and the unique matchmaking rituals of the local tribes.

Known as the kite-flying festival, Uttarayan is celebrated on January 14th, where the sky is filled with colorful kites. People participate in kite-flying competitions.
